Hundreds of people attended Wednesday’s International Woman’s Day Seattle Rally at Westlake Park.
The crowd heard from a number of community activists including newly announced mayoral candidate Nikkita Oliver and event organizer Councilmember Kshama Sawant.
Speakers focused on supporting women and transgender individuals while laying out their case against Trump. But in many ways, the evening was a chance to build momentum for the budding resistance movement, with speakers urging the crowd to attend a number of events, including the upcoming May Day action.
The videos are from Sawant’s live stream of the rally.
